Embark on acircular sailing cruise from Sotograndetowards the majestic Strait of Gibraltar and the fascinating Bay of Algeciras, an experience that combines adventure, relaxation and connection with the marine environment.

We started by strolling quietly along the beaches ofLa Alcaidesa and La Hacienda, with serene waters and open landscapes perfect for enjoying a drink while contemplating hills and almost pristine beaches. If we're lucky, the first dolphins could join us.

We passed by theLa Atunara fishing district, with its boats of colors and traditional essence, where the contrast between the urban coastline and the open sea offers a unique image.

We sail under the imposing east face of theRock of Gibraltar, ideal for capturing spectacular images and observing marine life near its shores. As we approach the Strait, we can see the change in the color of the water, a sign of the meeting of two seas.

We held a scenic rodeo forPunta Europa, the southernmost point of the Rock, where on clear days you can see Africa. This area is key for the sighting of migratory birds and cetaceans, and one of the most memorable moments of the tour.

Finally, we entered theAlgeciras Bay, a vibrant area with intense port activity: sailboats, merchant ships and fascinating energy. Even so, we find quiet corners where the calm of the sailboat and the sound of the sea bring us back to silence and nature. A perfect closure before starting the return.

What to bring

    To fully enjoy the experience, we recommend bringing:

    • Sun protection: cap, sunglasses and sunscreen, even on cloudy days.
    • Comfortable clothes and some warm clothing: Even if the weather is nice, the wind in the sea can cool you down.
    • Swimsuit and towel: If time and route permit, you could take a dip.
    • Suitable footwear: preferably with white soles or barefoot on board, to protect the cover.
    • Camera or cell phone with battery: you'll want to capture the unique landscapes and moments of the trip!
    • Antimareo: if you're prone to motion sickness, or even if you're not, we recommend taking anti-seasickness (such as Biodramina or similar) at least 1 hour before boarding.
